MS Regal Empress - Regal Cruises
The Regal Empress was built as the Olympia in the United Kingdom in 1953. She sailed for Commodore Cruises for a number of years as their Caribe I. In 1993, she was sold to Regal Cruises and re-dubbed Regal Empress. While there’s nothing fancy about Regal Empress, she does provide passengers a taste of ocean travel the way it used to be, on a genuine ocean liner.
Regal Empress is 22,979 tons. 612 feet long. 79 feet wide with a 28.2 foot draft. She is registered in the Bahamas, with European Officers and an International Crew. Diesel engines provide propulsion.
