StarShip Royale - Premier Cruise Line

The SS Royale was built in Italy in 1958 as the Federico "C" for Costa Cruises. In 1984, she was sold and Re-Christened StarShip Royale and became the original Big Red Boat for Premier Cruise Lines, the "Official" Cruise Line of Walt Disney World! In 1989, she was sold to Dolphin Cruise Line, becoming the SeaBreeze, her name today.

Royale was 21,900 tons. 605.6 feet in length. 79 feet wide. Draws 29 feet. Her interior was designed by A & M Katzourakis, the same people responsible in recent years for the design of Celebrity ships. She was registered in the Bahamas.

She was driven by two steam turbines and is one of the few steam driven ships sailing from US ports.
